Men's doubles

Eight pairs competed in the men's competition. The rules stipulated that both doubles partners could not have a total rating of better than LK26. The plan worked and so the spectators saw exciting matches on all tournament days between evenly matched teams. 5 of 8 matches were only decided in the 3rd set - which was played out. In the quarter-finals, multiple title holder Thomas Schulte-Wieking and Joachim Günther were eliminated against Andi Trissler and Marius Weishap. Andi and Marius were then able to defeat the junior doubles Tobias Heinz and Anton Linke in the semi-finals. The other finalists Rainer Ofner and Daniel Heinz needed a third set both in the quarter-finals against Jürgen Geray and Kevin Kölbl - the defending champions - and in the semi-finals against the "40s" Thomas Müller and Tom Weishap. In the final, the first set went to Andi and Marius. Rainer and Daniel, who encouraged themselves with loud “Come on” calls, showed the best comeback qualities, took sets 2 and 3 and thus the title.

MIXED

Im Vorjahr noch 15, heuer nur 9 Paarungen kämpften im Mixed Doppel um den Titel, und dass obwohl es keine LK Begrenzung gab. Im Duell der 45plus Spieler konnten sich Martin Schneider und Anne Baier gegen Udo und Bettina Böhm durchsetzen. Martin und Anne scheiterten nach im Viertelfinale an den Titelverteigern Mike Kölbl und Jana Haberzettl. Diese wiederum scheiterten im Halbfinale in 3 Sätzen an Daniel Heinz und Therese Pfann, beide gerade mal 15 Jahre alt. Im unteren Tableau schalteten Tobias Heinz und Laura Ofner, beide 17 Jahre alt, zunächst Rolf Pfeiffer und Susi Weishap und dann Kevin Kölbl und Valerie Bühl aus. So sahen die zahlreichen Fans das an Jahren der Teilnehmer gerechnet jüngste Finale der Vereinsgeschichte. Auch hier wurde ein 3. Satz benötigt. Nach verlorenen ersten Satz konnten Tobias und Laura das Blatt noch wenden und den Titel erringen. 

Herren40

Sechs Teams traten in der Konkurrenz Herren 40+ an. Ein Hobby, ein 50er und je zwei 40er, 65er Doppel. Die Matches waren sehr spannend. Hier dominierten die Favoriten Thomas Müller + Christian Zeller. In 3 Matches verloren sie gerade mal 6 Spiele. Drei davon im Finale im ersten Satz Peter Norton und Hans-Dieter Zapf. Dritter wurde Jürgen Geray und Martin Schneider, die im VfB Trikot spielend gegen Rolf Pfeiffer und Joachim Günther 6:4/6:3 gewannen.

Ladies

The tournament director was disappointed with the number of women taking part. Of the 40 players registered for the association round, only 6 women took part in the doubles. They determined the title holder in the EVERYONE against EVERYONE mode. Unfortunately, the tournament director could only schedule one game per day. The duo Stefanie Schmidt and Patrizia Trissler presented the juniors Jana and Laura with a puzzle with the Australian line-up, which the Amazons could not solve. The experienced 50s doubles Tina Böhm and Sabine Kleiß solved the puzzle. In the generations, the powerful cross dominated. Tina and Sabine won 7:6 / 6:7 / 6:2 and took the title.

Siegerehrung

Die jeweils drei Erstplazierten durften die Preise von Turnierleiter Detlef Bauer und Jugendleiterin Silke Adam in Empfang nehmen. Die Preise wurden gestiftet von Restaurant Berg, Café Bauer, Getränke Weber, Brauerei Zwiefalten, Rammerthof, Albverführer, Automeisterei Heidt, Sporthaus Krämer, Edeka Höschele. Ein ganz besonderer Dank ging an das Bewirtungsteam um Nicolas Heilemann, die SpielerInnen und Gäste mit Getränken, Pizzen und Crepes versorgten.

• Participants should be ready to play on all match days (exceptions only after consultation with the tournament director). The games will be scheduled by the tournament director in GOTCourts. Preliminary rounds and semi-finals can be rescheduled on the same day if all four players agree. Players who are not present can be eliminated by the tournament director 15 minutes after the last call.
• Only members - including those who are just starting out - of TV Großbettlingen are allowed to participate. Young people born in 2009 and above are allowed to register.
• A player can register in a maximum of two age groups.
• This year there are LK restrictions for men (LK 26) and women (LK 32). Both doubles players together must have at least this or a higher LK. (Deadline: draw). There are no LK restrictions for MIXED and men 40.
• The game is played according to the tennis rules of the ITF and the TO of the DTB. In all matches, the winner of two sets is decisive. The tie-break rule (ITF Rule 6b) applies. If the score is 6:6, a tie-break is played to 7 points. The third set is played out - so NO match tie-break!

• Die Turnierleitung behält sich vor, diese Bestimmungen, falls erforderlich, zu ändern, Wettbewerbe wegen ungenügender Beteiligung ausfallen zu lassen, sowie Nennungen zurückzuweisen. Die Mindestteilnehmerzahl je Wettbewerb sind vier Doppelpaarungen.
• Die Turnierteilnahme erfolgt grundsätzlich auf eigene Gefahr. Die Spieler/innen sind persönlich für ihren Gesundheitszustand verantwortlich und erklären mit Spielantritt, dass sie in der Lage sind, ohne gesundheitliche Risiken am Turnier teilzunehmen.
