On July 7th, the 4th association game took place in Zizishausen. First,
the children with the relay games. This time they gave Zizishausen no chance and won three out of four relays. Then the singles and doubles started. Luca Kümmerle dominated the game against Jonathan from the start and secured both sets with a clear 4:0.

Eloise's performance against Fahmi was similarly impressive. With precise shots and a strong defense, Eloise gave her opponent no chance and also won both sets 4-0.

The match between Laurin and Tim was more exciting. Tim clearly dominated the first set and won it 4-0. In the second set, however, Laurin showed more resistance and was able to keep the game open for longer. Nevertheless, Tim kept the upper hand and narrowly won the set 5-3.

In the duel between Jonas and Deniz, the first set was also a clear affair for Deniz, who won 4:0. In the second set, Jonas improved and put up a tough fight, but it was not enough to win the set. Deniz was ultimately able to prevail 5:3 and win the match.

In einem hart um­kämpften Match trafen Luca und Eloise auf Jonathan und Fahmi. Der erste Satz ging klar mit 4:1 an Luca und Eloise, die durch präzise Schläge und gute Abstim­mung auf dem Platz überzeugten. Im zweiten Satz konnten Jonathan und Fahmi jedoch zurückschlagen und gewannen diesen mit 4:2, was die Spannung noch­mals erhöhte. Im entscheidenden dritten Satz behielten Luca und Eloise die Ner­ven und entschieden den Satz mit 7:3 für sich, was ihnen den Sieg in diesem inten­siven Duell sicherte.

Das zweite Match des Tages sah Laurin und Jonas gegen Tim und De-niz antreten. Tim und Deniz dominierten von Beginn an und ließen ihren Gegnern kaum eine Chance. Der erste Satz ging mit einem deutlichen 4:0 an Tim und Deniz. Auch im zweiten Satz konnten Laurin und Jonas den Druck ihrer Gegner nicht standhalten und verloren diesen mit 1:4. Somit sicherten sich Tim und Deniz einen klaren Sieg in zwei Sätzen

Insgesamt war er es ein erfolgreicher Ta­gessieg für die U10. Zum Abschluss des Tages saßen die Kinder noch zusammen und genossen ihr Essen vom Archies.

On Sunday, June 30th, our U10 team had a home game against Riederich. Despite grey skies and rainy forecasts, the mood was good and the kids were very motivated. The Großbettlingen children won one relay, the other three were narrowly won by their opponents from Riederich. Nevertheless, the children started their singles matches optimistically. Luca, Eloise, Jan and Jonas played for Großbettlingen. Luca was up against a strong opponent and there were many great rallies between the two. Luca stayed on the ball and fought. His efforts were rewarded and he left the field as the winner after 2:4, 4:2 and an exciting match tiebreak (8:6).

Eloise also had a difficult opponent. She started the game well and quickly won the first set 4:1. She also gave her opponent little chance in the second set and was able to win the match.

Auf Platz drei spielte unser jüngster Spie­ler Jan. Der erste Satz war schnell mit 4:1 gewonnen. Im zweiten Satz lag Jan zunächst 0:2 hinten, spielte aber konzen­triert weiter und ging am Ende als Sieger vom Platz.

Jonas startete auf Platz vier. Nachdem er den ersten Satz abgeben musste, drehte er das Ergebnis im zweiten Satz und ge­wann diesen mit 4:1. Somit spielte auch Jonas einen Match-Tiebreak. Diesen ge­wann er mit 7:4 und holte damit einen weiteren Punkt für Großbettlingen.

Nun ging es mit den Doppeln weiter. Hier gab es Verstärkung durch Leyla und Laurin. Das Doppel mit Luca und Eloise gewann schnell den ersten Satz. Im zweiten Satz ließen die Kräfte etwas nach und die Geg­ner konnten diesen mit 4:0 für sich ent­scheiden. Im Match-Tiebreak gaben die Großbettlinger Kids jedoch nochmal alles und konnten mit 7:5 ihren Sieg bejubeln. Im zweiten Doppel hatte Leyla ihr Tennis-Debüt bei den Verbandsspielen. Sie und Laurin hielten sehr gut mit und kämpften um die Punkte. In den beiden sehr ausge­glichenen Sätzen hatten die Gegnerinnen aus Riederich am Ende knapp die Nase vorn und gewannen das Match.

 Am Sonntag, dem 16.06.2024 hatte un­sere Mannschaft, die U10 das zweite Heimspiel gegen Betzingen.

Gestartet wurde mit den Geschicklich­keitsspielen. Drei der vier Spiele wurden knapp verloren, beim Weitwurf reichte es noch zum Unentschieden.

Somit stand es nach den Staffeln 1:7 aus unserer Sicht. Bei dem großen Rückstand war es nahezu nicht mehr möglich den Tagessieg zu holen.

Trotzdem waren alle Kinder weiterhin sehr motiviert. Luca und Henri gewannen ihre Einzel souverän in zwei Sätzen. Laurin kämpfte noch im Match-Tiebreak und ge­wann sein Spiel.

Jonas, der zum ersten Mal ein Einzel gespielt hat, kämpfte um jeden Punkt, musste sich jedoch geschlagen ge­ben. Henri und Laurin, Luca und Lenyo der zum ersten Mal ein Doppel spielte, gewan­nen beide ihre Doppelspiele in 2 Sätzen. Insgesamt reichte es nach Endstand 11:13 nicht mehr zum Tagessieg.

Regular match day for the U10 is always Sundays at 3 p.m.

We from Großbettlingen won the first season straight away. Unfortunately, we had to admit without envy that the guests from Raidwangen showed an outstanding performance in bouncing and throwing. Luca was nevertheless delighted with the longest throw of all the children. In the last season it was very close, but the winner was again Raidwangen.

So we started the tennis matches with a deficit. Luca Schmidt had a strong opponent. He showed strong shots, but in the end he had to admit defeat. Our only girl, Eloise Warin, played great tennis and showed the boy on the other side that nothing was possible against her today.

Our youngest player Jan Warin played in his debut against
a much older opponent.

After some minor uncertainties in the first set, he became more and more confident and only narrowly lost the second set in the set tiebreak.

Laurin Fenchel played against an opponent who played every ball safely back into the field. In two sets she only made around 10 errors of her own, so that despite all her efforts Laurin was unfortunately defeated. TC Raidwangen traveled with 8 players, and 4 other players were used in the doubles than in the singles. Luca and Eloise played a great doubles match and won clearly with 4:2 and 4:2. Jonas Kümmerle played his first game in the TVG jersey and replaced our other debutant Jan. Jonas and Laurin from TVG played against Jonas and Luis from TC on the other side. The experience of the Raidwangen players prevailed again, almost all of whom are in their last year of the U10.
