This year's general meeting could unfortunately not take place as a face-to-face event due to the corona pandemic. The board therefore decided to hold the meeting as a video conference, as last year. Nevertheless, 40 members attended the meeting online on March 11, 2022.

Treasurer Michael Mai welcomed the members present and gave a brief introduction to the operation of the video conference system to ensure that everything ran as smoothly as possible. Secretary Marius Weishap created an attendance list.

Board spokesman Detlef Bauer then took the floor. He stated that the meeting had been called in accordance with the statutes and was therefore quorate. No motions were submitted and the meeting could therefore begin with the reports from the individual resorts.

 Zu Beginn berichtete Detlef Bauer über die Schwierigkeiten mit denen der TVG und auch das Tennisumfeld in Baden-Württemberg zu kämpfen hatte. Auch im Jahr 2021 blieben wir von den Beschränkungen durch die Coronapandemie nicht verschont. Deshalb mußte der WTB den Saisonstart der Verbandsspielrunde verschieben. Ebenso fielen zahlreiche Events, wie Bettling Open, Netzrollerparty, Mörikecup oder auch das Bettlinger Adventsdorf den Einschränkungen zum Opfer.

Jedoch gab es auch allerlei Positives zu vermelden. Es konnte nach dem abrupten Ende von Trainer Enzo Alfano in der Schlagenhauf GbR rasch ein neues Trainerteam gefunden werden.

Positiv war auch das Mitgliederwachstum. Im Jahr 2021 stieg die Mitgliederzahl auf 216 Mitglieder an. Somit konnte man ein Plus von 18 neuen Mitgliedern verzeichnen. Aktuell steht die Mitgliederzahl sogar bei 221 Mitgliedern. Im Jugendsegment wuchs man um 6, im Erwachsenensegment um 11 Mitglieder. 

The financial development of the tennis club continues to be positive. In 2021, Michael Mai was again able to report a profit on the balance sheet. Positive effects here were the sports sponsorship and the tennis camp.

Income and expenditure were slightly below the previous year's level, which was partly due to the cancellation of events such as the Bettling Open and the delayed opening of the tennis club. Cash assets exceeded liabilities for the first time this year.

In the commercial sector, a slight decline in sales was reported due to shorter opening hours. In other areas such as space allocation/working hours or others, the figures also fell compared to the previous year.

In terms of working hours, this was due, among other things, to the fact that the board decided not to charge any money for hours not worked in 2020. For 2021, 2 compulsory hours were again canceled. In 2022, a total of 6 working hours are scheduled due to the upcoming Mörike Cup, Bettling Open and upcoming construction measures.

Michael Mai also explained that there will be changes to the collection of membership fees. Members aged 18 and over must apply for membership fee reductions for training, school, university, etc. each year with proof of eligibility, otherwise they will be classified as full members. Overall, the treasurer sees the tennis club as financially stable for 2022 and appropriately prepared for future investments, such as the new construction of court 6.



On March 8, 2022, the auditors Edi Baier and Martin Schneider carried out the audit. A full check of the accounts was carried out. All receipts were checked without gaps. There were no complaints from the auditors. It was proposed that the board be discharged.

Marius Weishap lies die vergangene Generalversammlung noch einmal Revue passieren und informierte die anwesenden Mitglieder, dass sich der Vorstand in diesem Jahr zu acht Sitzungen getroffen hatte. Diese mussten überwiegend online stattfinden, welche umfassend protokolliert wurden. 

Thomas Rosskopf informed the assembly about the match reports submitted by the teams. 16 teams were registered by TVG. They played 81 games, of which 45 reports were submitted and published in the Blättle. The Blättle also provided information about the general meeting, the club championships and trial offers. The most important events were also included in the Infoblitz and the Nürtinger newspaper.



The work of the social media team, which takes care of the homepage, Facebook and Instagram, was highlighted positively.

 Detlef Bauer berichtete, dass im Mai 2021 ein neues Trainerteam engagiert werden konnte. Hierbei handelt es sich um die Schlagenhauf GbR mit dem Trainer Robert Schlagenhauf und seinen zwei Kindern Noah und Eden, welche ihn tatkräftig unterstützen. Mit seinen neuen Methoden und Trainingsübungen konnte er die Damenmannschaft „neu“ motivieren, ebenso zeigt er reges Interesse am Spielbetrieb. Desweiteren organisiert er im April 2022 ein Tenniscamp am Gardasee mit 38 Spielern aus Großbettlingen.

Ebenso konnte der TVG zahlreiche Aufstiege im Sommer 21 vermelden. Es konnten die Damen in die Bezirksklasse 1, die Herren 1 in die Bezirksoberliga, die Herren 2 in die Kreisklasse 1, sowie die Herren 60 in die Bezirksoberliga aufsteigen.

Auch im Sommer 2022 wird der Tennisverein wieder zahlreiche Mannschaften melden. Neu hinzu kommen die Herren 3, sowie die Damen 2. Die Herren 30 werden nun in der Altersklasse 40 starten. Somit wird des zukünftig zwei Herren 40 Mannschaften geben. Der aktuelle Trainingsplan für die Saison 2022 wird in auf der Homepage verfügbar sein.

Im Anschluss lies der Sportwart die Vereinsmeisterschaften 2022 nochmal Revue passieren. Bei den Mixed-VM musste in diesem Jahr improvisiert werden, da aufgrund der Coronabeschränkungen lediglich ein Haushalt pro Team antreten durfte. Trotzdem konnte das Turnier mit durchgeführt werden.

The non-cash prizes were sponsored by local companies and organized by Marina Schroll.

TVG also took part in this year's WTB Cup. Kevin Kölbl and Thomas SchulteWieking won the cup in their category.

Finally, Detlef dared to look ahead to the summer of 2022. The TVG will host the Mörikecup this year. It will take place on our facility from May 26th to 28th. 6 neighborhood clubs have already confirmed their participation and 23 sponsors have already been acquired for the club magazine.

Sarah Stoll reported that 55 children and young people were registered in the tennis club in 2021. 37 of them were in summer training with Marc Drexler and the Schlagenhaufs.

In the winter, 46 children were even able to get excited about training. This was partly due to the good training under the new trainer.

In summer 2021 there were a total of 6 youth teams. The same teams are to be registered again in summer 2022. As in the previous year, the boys will play in a joint team with Neckarhausen and there will only be one U12 team.

At the Youth Club Championships 21, Sarah was able to register 27 participants.

27 children between the ages of 6 and 14 also took part in the tennis camp. Eden Schlagenhauf led the training sessions and was supported by numerous young assistants from TVG. 9 children were also inspired to take up tennis training through the school/club cooperation.

In 2021, the TVG welcomed a total of 22 new trial members to the club. Jenny Failenschmid reported that the trial members were able to settle in well at the club and praised the open and friendly welcome. 14 of them were ultimately won over as new members.

As usual, the hobby season was kicked off with the annual event Germany Plays Tennis. Newcomers were able to train with coach Robert Schlagenhauf. Unfortunately, the popular hobby event Bettling Open had to be cancelled due to corona.

Jenny has already been able to win 3 trial members for 2022. As a “sweetener” for members, a drink voucher for the tennis club was offered for recruiting new members.

 Sportlich lief es für die Hobbys im Sommer 21 nicht optimal. Die Hobby Damen mussten aufgrund zahlreicher Ausfälle leider abgemeldet werden. Die anderen Hobby-Mannschaften hatten oft Probleme, da einige Spieler in den aktiven Bereich wechselten. Trotzdem hat sich ein harter Kern an Hobbys herausgebildet, welcher sich jedes Jahr bei den Vereinsmeisterschaften oder dem Nierosta-Turnier auch zeigt.

So konnte beim Nierostaturnier Tanja Heinz als 1. Siegerin der 13 Teilnehmer vom Platz gehen.

Bei den Einzelvereinsmeisterschaften gab es in diesem Jahr erstmalig eine Hobby Herren und Hobby Damen Kategorie, welche Benny Adam und Marcella Haberzettel gewinnen konnten.

Fürs Jahr 2022 konnten wieder 3 Mannschaften gemeldet werden. Desweiteren ist für den 23.07 das Ortsturnier Bettling Open geplant. 

 Udo Böhm berichtet zunächst über die Arbeitsdienste 2021. Am 13.03 kamen 13 Helfer zur Instandsetzung der Plätze.

Hervorzuheben war, dass Platzwart Kevin Tough bereits Ende März alle Plätze in spielbereiten Zustand gebracht hatte. Dies wurde auch von Gegnern der Gastmannschaften bestätigt. Der Arbeitsdienst im August musste mangels Beteiligung abgesagt werden. Am 09.10 wurde von 4 Helfern auf der Terrasse eine neue Beleuchtung installiert. Zum Arbeitsdienst am 06.11 erschienen 17 Helfer, welche die Plätze abräumten und den Grünschnitt entfernten.

Am 20.11 konnte zusammen mit dem TSuGV das Skaterheim abgerissen werden. An dieser Stelle soll dann der künftige Platz 6 entstehen.

The new main entrance is to be built at the garage above place 6. This is necessary because crossing the fire station entrance is prohibited during the renovation of the fire station. The old entrance at place 2 will remain, but the stairs to the fire station will be removed. The entrance at place 2 can therefore only be accessed from place 4.

Udo Böhm expressed his thanks to the municipality of Großbettlingen and the district fire chief for their support and the uncomplicated and cost-effective solution they found.

Udo Böhm also reported on the current status of the new construction of place 6. In December 21, the extension of the building permit with a change in the distance to the sidewalk was submitted to the district office. In February, the LRA responded and did not extend the permit. After consultation with the municipality and architect Gerhard Failenschmid, a new building application will be submitted. This should be approved by the municipal council as soon as possible and given priority by the district office. Discussions will then take place with the company Garten Moser.

Bettina Böhm reported on the difficult conditions the club had to contend with at the start of the season. The clubhouse could not open at the end of April as usual, but only in June. The usual system could then be implemented again. All weeks were occupied and none had to be cancelled.

Bettina Böhm warmly thanked the members for the flexibility necessary to make operations possible.

On match weekends, the teams were primarily responsible for catering for the guests. This system of team catering will be continued this year. Communication takes place via the team captains.

 Seit letztem Jahr wurden neue Getränke eingeführt, u.a Helle 1521 Bier, sowie diverse Spritzersorten. Diese kamen sehr gut bei den Mitgliedern an.

Für das Jahr 2022 richtete Bettina noch einen Appell an die Mitglieder, bei den anstehenden zahlreichen Events mitzuhelfen und den Verein tatkräftig zu unterstützen.

Nach den ausführlichen Berichten der Ressorts wurde zum offiziellen Teil der Versammlung übergegangen.

 Bürgermeister Christopher Ott nahm die Entlastungen vor. Zuerst bedankte er sich für das Engagement des Tennisvereins für die Gemeinde, ebenso hob er lobend die neue Homepage und die Social Media Abteilung hervor.

 Er hofft, dass der Verein den Mörikecup durchführen kann und sich weiterhin wirtschaftlich und mitgliedertechnisch positiv entwickelt. Deshalb schlug er den anwesenden Mitgliedern die Entlastung des Vorstandes vor. Diese erfolgte einstimmig.

Detlef Bauer berichtete außerdem, dass in den nächsten Wochen auf der Homepage über einen neuen Teamdress abgestimmt werden kann. Muster und Vorlagen wurden vom Trainerteam Schlagenhauf zur Verfügung gestellt. Eine Anprobe wird in Kürze stattfinden.

Ebenso kann man mit seinem Einkauf beim Bäcker Mayer den TVG unterstützen. Bis 31.08 spendet die Filiale 5% der Gesamtsumme an den  Verein. 

 Rolf Pfeiffer, Deta Merk und Xenia Walter wurden von Detlef Bauer für 25 Jahre Vereinszugehörigkeit geehrt.

Since a personal tribute was not possible due to the format of the meeting, the past 25 years of each of the jubilees were reviewed in a beautifully compiled picture presentation.

The presents will be delivered personally afterwards.

Am Ende der Versammlung gab es noch zwei Wortmeldungen aus einer Onlinecommunity gebildet rund um die Herrenmannschaft.

Hierbei wurde angeregt, dass sich der Vorstand mit dem Thema Platzumlage befassen solle. Zurzeit bezahlen lediglich männliche Mitglieder die Platzumlage. Der Vorstand solle darüber nachdenken, ob es heutzutage nicht angemessen wäre, dass Frauen und Männer denselben Beitrag bezahlen. Michael Mai erklärte die Hintergründe dieser aktuellen Regelung.

In the second statement, the question was asked whether it would be possible to ask partner clubs whether there was capacity to play, as the pitches are often very busy in the evenings.

The Board has taken up these two topics and will address these suggestions in the next meetings.

After just over two hours, the General Assembly was successfully closed.
