The current version of the state Corona regulations only allowed tennis to be played as a singles. However, it allowed members of two households to play doubles against each other. For example, the sports director of TV Großbettlingen, Detlef Bauer, organized a Family MIXED tournament for the traditional date of the doubles club championships on the Ascension weekend.

Eight pairs entered the tournament, in which each pair played three matches and places one to eight were decided. The Failenschmid couple forced the eventual tournament winners into a third set in the quarter-finals. In the semi-finals of the consolation round, Jenny and Daniel also played three sets. In both matches, the opponents emerged victorious. In the match for seventh place against Sarah Stoll and beginner Fabian Riek, they managed a clear two-set victory. The final of the consolation round saw father and daughter pairings face mother and son. The match was hotly contested and Rainer and his 14-year-old daughter Laura Ofner won 7:5 and 7:5. In the match for third place, two experienced pairs faced each other. Jürgen and Anette Geray forced Udo and Bettina Böhm into a set tiebreak. With successful net attacks and successful counter-returns from the defense, Udo tipped the long, evenly matched match in favor of the Böhms. The "Trissslers" and the "Heinzens" had an exciting marathon match lasting over three hours. Moritz and Andi had long top spin duels while Tanja and Tizi tried to intervene at the net. Both women also held their own with the men in the baseline duels. Andi and Patrizia won the first set in a set tiebreak. In the second set, Andi and Patrizia fought back after 2:5 and forced another set tiebreak. But they were denied a match point. The winner also needed a seventh game in the third set. Mother Tanja and 17-year-old Moritz were delighted with the tournament victory and a fuel voucher from Automeister Heydt. The other non-cash prizes from Metzgerei Kraus and Edeka Höschele were presented to the placed players by sports director Detlef Bauer and event coordinator Marins Scholl.
